In the area surrounding Merano and the village of Tyrol there are numerous paths and walks for every level, starting directly from Gnaid.

Alta via di Merano

Immerse yourself in the Gruppo di Tessa Natural Park and take in the awe-inspiring views. This circular hike in stages of about 100 km offers the possibility of an exciting trek in the high mountains with relatively low difficulty. However, you need to be confident and not afraid of heights.

Sopranes lakes

Located in the heart of the Tessa Group, they make up the largest high altitude lake area in the Eastern Alps. These ten beautiful mountain lakes are surrounded by the most varied species of flora and fauna.

Cima Muta

For those who want to observe the territory of Burgraviato from above and enjoy a splendid view of the Adige Valley and Venosta Valley, Cima Muta – the “home” mountain in the small town of Tyrol - is the ideal destination.

Lagundo irrigation channel paths

The Merano area is characterized by evocative waterways, which are still used to irrigate the orchards lining them. One of these unmissable routes is that of Lagundo, which departs from Castel Tirolo to Parcines and is perfect for the whole family.

Punta Cervina

On the opposite side of the valley, starting from the village of Tyrol is the extensive hiking area of Monte Cervina, welcoming green alpine meadows. This is a popular starting point for paragliding enthusiasts and offers numerous itineraries of all levels, as well as refreshment and relaxation points.

Picco Ivigna (Ivigna peak)

This majestic mountain rises 2581 m above the villages of Scena and Avelengo and is home to the Merano 2000 ski area, an excellent starting point for excursions to a stunning alpine paradise.
